An Annapolis property that consists of nothing more than a detached garage and a guest quarters is on the market for nearly $5 million.
The waterfront property — which nearly set records for its $12.5 million listing in 2005 — was the home of retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Vernon R. Tate and his wife, Missy.
What makes the parcel a draw is that the permits and architectural designs are already in place because of a previously abandoned construction project. That means the buyer can start work on the house and landscaping immediately, as opposed to waiting the years that it normally takes to get permits for waterfront properties, those close to the project said.
