Susan Noyce energetically greets her customers at the Fresh Farm Market Sunday farmers market in downtown Annapolis. From her spot near the old Fawcett building, she sells Agriberry’s fresh strawberries, several types of homemade jams and other farm products. She pleasantly offers a taste of Agriberry’s treats to each customer, showing special patience with the smallest of visitors.
Susan has lived in Annapolis for almost two decades; she is originally from the Finger Lakes area of New York state, where she grew up wandering farms, fields and country roads foraging for fresh black raspberries.
She and her sister Anne would walk each summer morning, a Chock Full O’Nuts coffee can between them, searching from patch to patch for enough berries to make a pie.
