A taco bar and a restaurant specializing in brick-oven cuisine are coming to downtown Annapolis. In all, three new eateries — Vida Taco Bar, Fox's Den and Preserve — are expected to open on Main Street by the end of the year.
Brothers Andrew and Chris Fox, who also own Level on West Street, expect to open Vida this fall. They also plan to open Fox's Den, which has been held up for nearly three years, by late fall.
Construction had been delayed at Michelle and Jeremy Hoffman's Preserve, a casual American-style restaurant, but the Hoffmans now expect to open in October. Altogether, the three restaurants will generate at least 40 jobs.
The delays at Fox's Den and the reputation of chef Jeremy Hoffman — named a semifinalist for Eater.com's Young Guns Class of 2013 while working in Alexandria, Virginia — have whetted anticipation for both restaurants, said Annapolis Business Association President Sean O'Neill.
