By TERRA WALTERS Ah, summer. Even though the Annapolis area has compelling charms for all four seasons of the year, one must admit that summers here are something special.
The annual spring ritual of sock burning officially sends sailors back onto local waterways with shorts, deck shoes and dreams of lazy days spent on their boats. And what could improve a summer boat trip? Docking at one of our wonderful restaurants for a meal.
First, boaters wishing to dine at waterside restaurants in Annapolis or in Eastport have two viable options for docking and dining: Annapolis City Marina and the Annapolis Water Taxi.
The City Marina will always have a slip available for boats under 30 feet, but those longer than that should call ahead (410-268-0660). Minimum draft is 5 feet, but it’s 16 feet at the end. The rates are $10 per hour and there’s a two-hour minimum.
